You are purchasing a General Electric/Zettler Controls 3ARR Series Motor Start Potential Relay, part number 3ARR28U4. The 3ARR potential relay is used to assist in the starting of single-phase motors equipped with start capacitors for high torque applications — including air conditioning compressors, commercial refrigeration units, heat pumps, and other HVAC/R equipment. The coil of the potential relay is energized by the voltage of the start winding; when this voltage rises to the pick-up value the contact opens, disconnecting the start capacitor from the circuit once the motor has reached running speed. The relay remains energized until the start winding voltage drops below the dropout value. This is a new, never-installed part manufactured to the original GE product specification.
