Fleetguard Lube Oil Filter — Part Number LF16101
Brand: Fleetguard | Condition: New Old Stock (NOS)
Fleetguard LF16101 full-flow spin-on lube filter — a tall, large-capacity element measuring 10.39 inches by 4.24 inches on a 1 1/8-16 UN-2B thread, whose primary application is Mack 485GB3191C and which also crosses to the widely known Caterpillar 1R-1807. Fleetguard is Cummins Filtration's brand, one of the most respected names in heavy-duty filtration.
Full-flow design means everything the oil pump delivers passes through it before reaching the bearings, the turbocharger and the injection equipment. On a large diesel running long drain intervals that is a hard-working circuit, and at 10.39 inches this is a high-capacity element sized for exactly that duty.
Condition Details
New Old Stock — never installed, never used. This filter has been held in long-term parts inventory, so the box, wrapper or label may show shelf wear, dust, fading, denting or dated printing. The filter itself is new, unused and unopened, with the sealing gasket in place. Photos show the actual item you will receive.

⚠️ Note the "no bypass valve, no anti-drainback valve" configuration. Some filter heads incorporate those functions in the head rather than the filter. Fitting a filter with built-in valves where the system does not call for them changes how the circuit behaves. This is the correct non-valved configuration for the application — confirm your engine specifies the same.
Superseded & Cross Reference Part Numbers
Mack: 485GB3191C (primary application), 20539275
Caterpillar: 1R1807 / 1R-1807
Baldwin: B76

Luber-Finer: LFP3191
Fram: PH9376, TPH9376FP
⚠️ Important — do not confuse with Fleetguard LF3675. LF3675 shares the same thread, the same 10.39 in height, the same 4.24 in diameter, the same 3.56/3.94 in gasket and several of the same cross-references. The published difference between them is rated flow — 17.17 GPM for LF16101 against 24.57 GPM for LF3675 — and their primary application emphasis. They are not interchangeable on the basis of fit alone. Check which number your engine's service literature specifies.
Cross references are provided as a guide; confirm against your own engine before purchase.
Features
- Tall, high-capacity element at 10.39 inches — real dirt-holding capacity sized for the long drain intervals and high soot loading of a large diesel
- 24.6 micron(c) at 95% efficiency, with capacity and efficiency both validated to the SAE J1858 multi-pass standard rather than a claim on the box
- 246.5 psi hydrostatic burst minimum and a 17.17 GPM rated flow — real tested structural and flow ratings
- Mack primary application with a Caterpillar 1R-1807 cross — two of the most recognisable names in heavy-duty filtration, in one filter
- Correct 1 1/8-16 UN-2B thread and correct gasket diameters, so it seals properly on the factory head
- Fleetguard is Cummins Filtration's brand, built for heavy-duty service and validated to industry test standards
- Consumable by design: oil filters are the most frequently purchased service item on any diesel, which makes this a genuine repeat-purchase part
Application
- Mack — 485GB3191C (primary), 20539275. Heavy-duty on-highway trucks
- Caterpillar — cross-referenced to 1R-1807
- Heavy, medium and light duty trucks, semi tractors, transit buses, coaches and forklifts
Oil filter specification can change across engine serial ranges. Please confirm LF16101 against your own engine's parts list using your engine serial number, not the chassis model — and given the overlap with LF3675, check the Fleetguard number specifically. Tell us the engine and serial and we are glad to help you check.
Why Choose Fleetguard?
Fleetguard is the filtration brand of Cummins, developed for heavy-duty service where filters protect components worth many times their own cost. On a full-flow lube filter the characteristics that matter are invisible once the can is sealed: media that holds efficiency as it loads instead of going into bypass early, a shell that will not distort, and the correct valve configuration for the head. Economy filters cut corners precisely on the parts you cannot inspect. Given what a turbocharger and a set of main bearings cost on a large diesel, the oil filter is the last place to economise.

Thank you for looking at our listing. We are a family-run parts business and we take real care in identifying, describing and packing every item we sell. Much of our inventory is genuine NOS dealer stock that simply is not available new any longer, and we are glad to see these parts go to people who still keep older equipment running properly.
If anything about this listing is unclear, if you would like additional photographs, or if there is any problem at all with your order, please contact us first and give us the chance to make it right before leaving feedback. We answer messages quickly and we will always work with you.
