Fleetguard Hydraulic Filter — Part Number HF6177

Brand: Fleetguard | Condition: New Old Stock (NOS)

Fleetguard HF6177 spin-on hydraulic filter — a wide-body element measuring 180 mm tall by 128 mm in diameter on a British-form internal thread, fitted across an exceptionally broad span of European and Asian construction and agricultural equipment: JCB, Komatsu, Case IH, Deutz, Manitou, Lamborghini, Antonio Carraro and more, spanning model years from 1975 to 2020. Fleetguard is Cummins Filtration's brand, one of the most respected names in heavy-duty filtration.

Hydraulic contamination is the leading cause of hydraulic system failure. Pumps, control valves, motors and cylinders all work to clearances measured in microns, and the oil that lubricates them is the same oil that carries away their wear debris. The filter is by a wide margin the cheapest component in the circuit and the only one whose job is to protect everything else in it.

Condition Details

New Old Stock — never installed, never used. This filter has been held in long-term parts inventory, so the box, wrapper or label may show shelf wear, dust, fading, denting or dated printing. The filter itself is new and unused, with the sealing gasket in place. Photos show the actual item you will receive.

Fleetguard's own cross-reference also lists Komatsu, Case IH, Deutz, Manitou, Lamborghini and Antonio Carraro equipment numbers, and the published interchange runs to more than eighty brands. Cross references are provided as a guide; confirm against your own machine before purchase.

⚠️ Note the British internal thread. This is not a North American thread form. It is what makes the filter distinctive and it is the first thing to check against your filter head.

Features

  • Manufacturer-published specifications — the dimensions, Beta rating and burst pressure above come from Fleetguard's own product data, not a reseller's guess
  • Beta 75 at 45 micron with a 1500 kPa (217.5 psi) hydrostatic burst minimum — tested figures you can compare directly against a specification
  • Distinctive British-form internal thread, correct for the European and Asian equipment this filter serves
  • No bypass valve — the correct configuration where the circuit incorporates its bypass elsewhere
  • Extraordinary application breadth. Seven-plus OEM equipment makers and over eighty cross-referenced brands, spanning 1975 to 2020. Very few hydraulic filters cover forty-five years of production across construction, agriculture and industry
  • Replaces LF4095 and has both a European equivalent (HF7947) and an upgrade path (HF7980) in Fleetguard's own range
  • Fleetguard is Cummins Filtration's brand, built for heavy-duty service and validated to industry test standards
  • Consumable by design: hydraulic filters are a scheduled service item, which makes this a repeat-purchase part

Application

Fleetguard's published cross-reference covers equipment from:

  • JCB — 32/901401, 32/901701
  • Komatsu
  • Case IH
  • Deutz
  • Manitou
  • Lamborghini (tractors)
  • Antonio Carraro
  • Lonking excavators — 609800032
  • UCC Hydraulics industrial filter housings — UCMX1591410
  • Also sold through New Holland parts channels under the Fleetguard number

Coverage spans 1975 through 2020 across construction, agricultural and industrial equipment.

Hydraulic filter specification varies by circuit and filter head as much as by machine model. Please verify HF6177 against the parts book for your own machine and serial number before ordering — and in particular confirm the British internal thread matches your head. Tell us the make, model and serial and we are glad to help you check, and we will photograph the filter with a tape measure and a thread gauge on request.

Why Choose Fleetguard?

Fleetguard is the filtration brand of Cummins, developed for heavy-duty service where filters protect components worth many times their own cost. On a hydraulic filter the things that matter cannot be judged by eye: media that holds its captured dirt as it loads rather than releasing it back into the circuit, a can that will not distort under pressure, and seals that hold. Fleetguard publishes Beta ratings and burst pressures in a catalogue you can actually check — a meaningfully different proposition from a nominal micron number printed on a box.

Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery through the eBay return request system. Items must be returned in the condition in which they were received.

Thank you for looking at our listing. We are a family-run parts business and we take real care in identifying, describing and packing every item we sell. Much of our inventory is genuine NOS dealer stock that simply is not available new any longer, and we are glad to see these parts go to people who still keep older equipment running properly.

If anything about this listing is unclear, if you would like additional photographs or a measurement, or if there is any problem at all with your order, please contact us first and give us the chance to make it right before leaving feedback. We answer messages quickly and we will always work with you.
