WHAT IT IS

The FAG 22215ES.C3 is a double-row spherical roller bearing — one of the most versatile heavy-duty bearings in industrial use. The bearing features two rows of symmetrical barrel rollers running in a concave spherical raceway in the outer ring, which makes the bearing self-aligning: it automatically compensates for shaft misalignment, deflection, and assembly errors up to about 2 degrees. This forgiving design makes spherical roller bearings the standard choice in heavy industrial machinery where perfect alignment is difficult to maintain.

The "E" design uses optimized internal geometry with more rollers and higher load ratings than older standard designs. The "S" suffix indicates a lubrication groove with three lubrication holes in the outer ring for in-place re-greasing.
